Central Highlands Regional Council is once again hosting the CHRC Youth Art Awards on 23 June 2025 at the Emerald Art Gallery.

Young artists aged 5 to 25 from across the Central Highlands were invited to submit artworks from 5 age categories: 5-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-15 years, 16-18 years; and 19-25 years. Their artworks could be any subject in any medium.

First and Second prizes are awarded for each age category along with a People's Choice Award with over $1500 in prize money on offer.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from Monday 23 June until 25 July 2025. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.

People's Choice Award

Voting for the People's Choice Award opens on Friday 20 June 2025 from 6.00pm and closes on Sunday 6 July 2025 at midnight. The award recipient will be awarded $200 in prize money. The winner will be announced via the CHGalleries Facebook(External link) page on Tuesday 8 July 2025 at 5.00pm.
