In July 2020, council sought feedback from Blackwater residents on proposed changes to seven of Blackwater's main collector streets. These streets have been identified as needing reconstruction due to their age and deteriorating condition.

Concerns about the project's impacts on parking and safety have been noted and this has informed council's decision to investigate the design options further. An update can be viewed on the council news page here.
