Project 1: Transforming our Medians:
Blackwater is known for its wide street network and with this means we have an extensive amount of median strips. These median strips are difficult to manage and maintain which has created an opportunity for us to think differently about their future. Focused in the first instance along MacKenzie Street, council is seeking innovative ideas that not only enhance the locality, but also require minimal maintenance, in our hot climate – with limited trees and vegetation. This project is about exploring and build upon these concepts collaboratively, leveraging local partnerships.
Project 2: All Abilities Park
It’s time to have a meaningful discussion on the future of the All Abilities Park. We are committed to evolving it into a safe, relaxing space. We need to collectively acknowledge the challenges and respect the sensitivity of the parks future.
This presents an opportunity to reimagine and reshape the nature of this space, for the community, in order to better cater to the needs of all its members.
Project 3: Revitalising Dempsey Park
Dempsey Park, at the core of our community, is set for a transformation. Your input is vital to create a space that resonates with your desires, offers safety, and promotes inclusivity. Like the Skate Park, Dempsey Park is its own destination we want to ensure that it leaves it own legacy as a park that is the envy of Central Qld for being different yet destinational.
