Have your say on the creation of a new CHRC Corporate Plan for 2027-2032!

Great Corporate Plans start with great community conversations.

Council is inviting everyone, across all corners of the region to join us, learn more and tell us what matters most to you to help shape council’s future priorities, goals, and long-term direction for a new, five-year Corporate Plan.

The Corporate Plan is all about where we are headed together as a region. It’s not an operational plan – it is a critical, overarching roadmap for the future, reflective of community concerns, values and aspirations.

With the current corporate plan coming to an end in 2027, and our new CEO at the helm, the Mayor and Councillors are looking to ensure we are clear on what we have heard from community so far via other consultation and visioning engagement and build on this specific to the development of a new corporate plan.

Before drafting of the new Corporate Plan commences, council is taking the early step of conducting an extensive, region-wide engagement process to ensure we know, and properly understand your views, ideas and input.

  • So, what do you love about our region?
  • And what must we protect and preserve?
  • What’s most important to you and for your communities’ futures?
  • Where should we be heading, based your concerns or how the world is changing?
  • What does our region need to ensure we are prepared for it all? And what are your communities hopes and aspirations for a stronger Central Highlands?

Insights gathered will play an important role in informing the development of the first draft of the Corporate Plan and there are plenty of ways to have your say:

  • Complete the region wide survey launching on Monday 14 September running until Sunday 11 October 2026.

  • Attend an in-person drop-in session to learn more and have a chat with the ‘Corporate Plan Local Convo’s Convoy’ team, touring the region and coming to a township near you:

    • Duaringa Old Library| Wednesday 7 October | 10am – 12 noon

    • Capella Council Chambers | Thursday 8 October | 10am – 12noon
    • Rubyvale Community Hall | Thursday 8 October | 4-6pm
