The art forms I currently participate in are (?)
over 2 years agoCLOSED: This brainstorm has concluded.PamBover 2 years agoDedicated Photography Building/Space
Everyone owns a camera, even if it's on their phone. Photography (and film) is a huge growth area of the arts and as such, people are more interested than ever in how to take their photos from ho-hum to wow. A dedicated space in which to learn and grow as a photographic artist, a space in which workshops can be conducted that use large lighting equipment and display screens, a space to store and USE the equipment that the photo club already owns, in order to develop and display the incredible talents of our local people would be invaluable. Larger workshops, visiting presenters, and more creative set ups could all be generated in a building dedicated to the photographic arts.

5Kateover 2 years agoSpruce up what we have before starting anything new
Have a look at the existing spaces, facilities, objects, etc we have and see what needs to be improved to maintain them. Take the time to get a group of interested people together/stakeholders and walk through an area. See what people really think when they are in the space and what suggestions might start to flow. Build on what is there - does it need new paint, better signage, more information, better advertising, etc. How can we get best utilise it and benefit more people.

2Kim Tompsonover 2 years agoHeritage Tours
Every community on the Highlands has it's own amazing cultural and heritage history. With more training and skill sharing, we could put together a very interesting Regional Tour. If each community had a dedicated (skilled and paid) tour guide we would have a network of knowledge that would enhance local and visitor experiences. This could encompass school groups, in hopes that our youth develop a yearning to understand their regional history.
