Gemfields Community Follow-up Event

On 11 May 2021, Central Highlands Regional Council hosted a community meeting following a flash flood event in the Gemfields on 16 and 17 March 2021. The event was an opportunity for community to share their experience and provide feedback to council staff to improve disaster mitigation into the future which has informed an action plan for council staff to implement feedback.

The notes from this consultation were shared with relevant council staff and a debrief session took place to discuss implementation of community feedback.
