Council News Delivery Survey
In September 2020, council conducted a communications survey with the Central Highlands community, to determine if a printed council newsletter was of interest.
Based on the most recent survey findings, the public relations and events team will aim to launch a printed council newsletter in the second half of 2022.
It is proposed that the newsletter will be monthly and distributed via council offices, transaction centres, libraries and stands placed at strategic, high-traffic areas (e.g. shopping centres).
The newsletter will draw on content from council’s website, social media, e-newsletter, art galleries, libraries and sports newsletters, and events calendar. This will ensure the information is consistent with other channels but reaches a different audience.
Do you like receiving our current online newsletter (e-news)? Or would you prefer to receive your news printed? Let us know today.
The findings of Central Highlands Regional Council's 2020 Communication Survey revealed out of the 293 responses, the top three preferred communication channels were:
- Facebook - 55%
- Online newsletter - 31%
- Printed newsletter - 13.8%
With this information, we want to explore the feasibility of a printed newsletter. Would you prefer to receive your news online, or in a printed format?
