On 28 February 2024 at the General Council Meeting the Major Asset Naming Application of Bridgeman Park Capella was discussed. The revised application submitted to the council was adopted during the Council meeting that the Central Highlands Regional Council agrees to name and confirm the naming of the major assets Bridgeman Park, Capella Covered Arena and the Ross Ford Bucking Chutes.
Based on this decision, new signage is being designed.

The Capella Rodeo Club have sent council an application to name the Bridgeman Park Covered Arena in Capella to the ‘Ross Ford Covered Arena’. The park will remain named Bridgeman Park.
This is to honour the late Ross Ford who dedicated much of his life to the Central Highlands community but most notably through the sport of rodeo.

24 February 2024 - During the General council meeting the Major Asset Naming Application for Bridgeman Park was adopted by council confirming the naming of the major assets - Bridgeman Park, Capella Covered Arena and the Ross Ford Bucking Chutes.
