Central Highlands Regional Council is once again hosting the CHRC Youth Art Awards on 26 June 2026 at the Emerald Art Gallery.
Young artists aged 5 to 25 from across the Central Highlands were invited to submit artworks from 5 age categories: 5-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-15 years, 16-18 years; and 19-25 years. Their artworks could be any subject in any medium.
First and Second prizes are awarded for each age category along with a People's Choice Award with over $1500 in prize money on offer.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from Monday 29 June until 24 July 2026. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
People's Choice Award
Voting for the People's Choice Award opens on Friday 26 June 2026 from 6.00pm and closes on Thursday 23 July 2026 at midnight. The award recipient will be awarded $200 in prize money. The winner will be announced via the CHGalleries Facebook(External link) page.
