Consultation has concluded

Central Highlands Regional Council is undertaking a review of their Regional Economic Development Incentive (REDI) policy. This policy reflects council’s commitment to the ongoing attraction of business investment in the region. It is specifically designed to capture and evaluate applications for development incentives through a criteria based process.

The updated policy features two additional targeted investment outcomes:

  1. Residential Reconfiguration of a Lot applications within targeted Central Highlands townships
  2. Residential Multiple Dwelling applications within target Central Highlands townships

An approved application under this updated policy, for any activity which falls within the listed key strategic industries, will be eligible for a 100% waiver of associated council development application fees, and up to a 70% reduction in levied infrastructure charges by way of refund upon commencement of operation.
