Consultation has concluded

In January 2020, council conducted a review of their Regional Economic Development Incentive (REDI) policy. This policy is intended to reflect council’s commitment to the ongoing attraction of business investment in the region. It is specifically designed to capture and evaluate applications for development incentives through a criteria based process.

The draft updated policy featured two additional targeted investment outcomes:

  1. Residential Reconfiguration of a Lot applications within targeted Central Highlands townships
  2. Residential Multiple Dwelling applications within target Central Highlands townships

An approved application under this updated policy, for any activity which falls within the listed key strategic industries, is eligible for a 100% waiver of associated council development application fees, and up to a 70% reduction in levied infrastructure charges by way of refund upon commencement of operation.

Community members were invited to review the draft policy and provide feedback using the online form below before 5.00pm on 28 February 2020.
