"In 2022, the Central Highlands is renowned for its diversity, liveability and prosperity, the region we are proud to call home!"

A community plan is a long term road-map setting out the steps for achieving future community visions. The Central Highlands 2022 Community Plan is comprised of a region-wide plan setting out our regional vision, outcomes and goals, and 13 place community plans. This plan was introduced on 1 July 2012, and will be in effect until 30 June 2022.

Our community plan outlines five regional outcomes that we aspire to. These include:

The Central Highlands has 13 place-based community reference groups (CRGs), all helping to shape the future of our region.
