Council’s community consultations take councillors and council staff across the region each year to connect with community.
The events are an open forum for anyone to attend and connect with councillors and council staff. They are an opportunity to receive updates on key projects in your area and ask questions or discuss anything relating to your community and council.
The Community Consultation schedule can be viewed here.
Online submission process:
The feedback submitted on the Have Your Say, Central Highlands website leading up to the consultations ensures the process is inclusive and enables the Mayor, councillors, and council staff to attend the consultations with key information at hand. It also allows community members to receive a response to their enquiry even if they are unable to attend the consultation.
To take part in the online consultation process, visit the project page. There is a form for each consultation that opens one month and closes two weeks before the scheduled consultation.
How to find relevant documents from previous consultations:
The discussion at each consultation is documented in the Record of Proceedings. These are shared in the document library on the appropriate year's project page (see list on right or bottom of the page on a mobile device). There are also tracking sheets and updates in this folder.
