21 Natasha Stanton - Emergence -
Lake Nuga Nuga, the largest body of water in the Central Queensland Sandstone belt was the catalyst for my painting “Emergence”. The wetlands are a vital home for birdlife of all kinds and an important place of cultural significance to the local indigenous people. The circle of life is well represented by the passing of trees rising from the murky depths of Nuga Nuga. The emergence of Lilies from the mud are a symbol of the process of regeneration and renewal.
