Why are there three different surveys?
Different surveys are provided for each of our target participants to help gain an understanding of the ideas and perceptions across audiences including young people, parents/carers, youth sector etc.
I’m under 18 - do I need my parent/guardian’s permission to complete a survey?
It is preferred to obtain a parent/guardian’s permission to complete the survey.
If this is not possible or practical, young people of any age can give their own ‘informed and voluntary’ consent if they have capacity to understand the context, issues involved and are not coerced. If they do not understand, they should consider getting a parent or guardian to give consent to participate.
The survey will be anonymous, so no one will know it was you. No personal information or identifiable information will be published.
Can I help or be involved in other ways to develop the strategy?
You can share the survey link with friends, family and anyone within your networks.
We will also facilitate workshops and focus groups within the community and schools.
You can also provide a written or verbal submission to Coordinator Youth Development by emailing youth@chrc.qld.gov.au.
How will my privacy be protected and how will you use the survey results?
The survey will be anonymous. Information collected and any data shared publicly will not identify respondents. Full data sets will not be published or shared.
Usage of data collected is aimed at improving strategic policy, decision making and service design.
